Your Ears Shall Always Be Tuned to the Father’s Voice

Isaiah 55:3-5 (NLT) Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations. You also will command nations you do not know and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.

I declare over you that this year, what God the Father is saying about you will always be the loudest voice in your heart. As a result of this, your life will always be full of God’s grace, peace and wisdom. You will always be full of God’s grace, peace and wisdom. You will always know what to do. Jesus always knew what to do and say because He only did and said what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19) and what He heard the Father saying, John 12:49-50. When you buy a new radio or television set, that device does not immediately start receiving radio or television signals on its own. You have to initiate the process by switching it on and tuning it to the desired frequency. In the same way, you have to tune yourself to hear God’s voice more this year. Two major ways to tune yourself to hear God’s voice are by giving yourself more to the study of God’s word and to give yourself more to prayer. These things will increase your sensitivity to God and the voice of His Spirit.

Jesus is the word of God, John 1:1 & 14. Everything that God will say to you will be said through Jesus Christ, Heb. 1:1-2. It will be based on what Jesus had done, achieved and made available for you by His death, burial and resurrection. The Bible says the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy, Rev. 19:10b. Faith comes by hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ, Rom. 10:13-17. Be deliberate about what you give your attention to. My husband, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, used to say that when you give the devil attention, he will give you direction. Whose report will you believe? Let God be true and let every other thing and voice be a liar, Rom. 3:4a. For God is not a man that He should lie, Num. 23:19. He will bring His word to pass I your life. His word will not return to Him void. It will accomplish the purpose for which He has sent it, Isa. 55:11.

Heavenly Father, I desire to hear Your voice more than I hear any other choice this year. I receive Your grace to pray and study Your word more this year.
