Topic: A Good Father.
READ ROMANS 8:9–17
On any given day, there are nearly 438,000 children in foster care in the United States. Many of these children were abused. Far too few children who enter foster homes are adopted. The transitions in and out of foster care can be difficult and filled with fear. But when the transition to a stable adoptive home is successful, it results in freedom from fear.
Before salvation, humans were abused and in bondage to Satan. When people receive salvation, they are adopted into the family of God. One of the benefits of that adoption is freedom from fear.
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).
Have you realized your full freedom in Christ? You can trust God as He expresses His love and protection to you on a daily basis.
